Last August 23, Eye Level ADB gathered students, parents, and teachers to celebrate Buwan ng Wikang Filipino. Our program that afternoon included story-telling and fun learning exercises, one of which we sourced from Samut-samot, which provides free printable worksheets for Filipino kids.
Our participants went home with book giveaways from Hiyas, which is OMF Literature’s imprint for children’s books.
HIYAS was awarded in 2005 by the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino for its contribution to advancing Filipino children’s literature. It was cited for its promotion of the Filipino language through stories that had a clear and positive message that instills godly values.
You can visit and shop their online bookstore here.

We also received a great selection of books from Tahanan Books, owned by Tahanan Publishing, Inc., a Filipino corporation dedicated to making quality books for Filipino families as well as supplementary curriculum materials for schools and libraries. Tahanan aims to nurture a passion for learning with books that celebrate Philippine culture and history.
Have a look at their latest releases and award-winning titles here.
Thank you Hiyas and Tananan Books!
